Nasal Septum Surgery

Surgery of the Nasal Turbinates
Nasal obstruction, nasal discharge and night time snoring can be caused by an enlarged turbinates due to an allergy. The diagnosis is clinical and is complemented by a nasal endoscopy. Initially it is treated with antihistamines, nasal corticoids and immunotherapy, but if it does not respond, a Turbinoplasty is recommended.

Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery
Sinusitis is the inflammation of the paranasal sinuses. It may be acute or chronic. It is precipitated by a cold, cigarette, swimming pools, weather changes, strong odors or allergies. The clinical diagnosis is complemented by an imaging study. If it is acute it is treated medically and if it is chronic, it is resolved with surgery.
